Make your own miniature ones, using the traditional method, or try using
embroidery floss in colors that reflect qualities you desire to attract:
Red for passion, and love.
Blue for healing, patience, peace and happiness. Purple for
visualization and dreaming.
Green for prosperity and growth
Black to absorb negativity.
Many Dream catchers have a crystal or a stone in the center. You
can choose your stones by their powers as well.( Either drill them
so they can be strung, or purchase them in the bead department of your
craft store.) Click
here for stone meanings.

Above left is the Dreamcatcher I made. I used a grapevine hoop, a Garnet
in the center
(my birthstone) for healing, and the feather was gift from a friend, the
goddess earring is a singleton from a pair given to me by my
sisters. |

These would be beautiful tree ornaments. To make them in miniature use
cut down bamboo skewers or toothpicks, and embroidery floss. I
saw pictures
of God's Eyes with bells
tied on the "arms", which would be a great holiday variation.
I wanted an ornament
example
to scan for
this page. Soooo, at 6:30 am I begged my fabulously
clever, bleary-eyed eldest son Dan to make me one, and the
result is at right. Lovely, isn't it?
(Thank you, Danny! I love you!) |
