Love
Magic!
Can
we make magic?
Does anyone really know?
I think we can feel empowered by the thought that we have the
ability to manipulate our world. And what’s not to love about
empowerment?
<grin>
So, at best, we make magic and change the world for the better.
(Remember, do no harm…)
Or, we make magic, and the action of doing so energizes us in
such a way that our newfound strength and attitude brings about a
desired outcome. At
worst, we make magic and it fails, but at least we tried an
exercise in empowerment...
So, I define making magic as a way of channeling
thoughts. This
channeling acts like a magnifying glass in the sun, creating such a
concentration of power that we make our goals come about. |

Pesky’s
Love Magic- First Steps-
A
good time for magic is the new moon, then you work on development through the next two weeks, building up to the full
moon, and fruition.
(See
the Moon phase now...)
Prepare
for the magic moment. You'll want to create
a place in your house for your “magic stuff”, the cloth, talisman and
candle you use. A shelf, or a table- make it a
place where it can remain undisturbed by kids and cats, yet placed where
you can see it often, and be reminded of your goals.
Gather
your magic stuff.
Select a cloth. You may choose an item of clothing from a loved one, a
favorite scarf, something you wore with your love, or just a piece
of fabric that pleases or suits you.
Here are colors associated with love- red for love, shades of
pink for warm relationships, affection.
Purple for sexuality. White
for purification and psychic strength, gold for radiance and attraction.
Select
a talisman. Choose something to
be the focal point for your energy.
You can choose the Tarot card that best suits your goal.
Or, remember the stones from last month? Friendship,
love, happiness are represented in Rose
Quartz,
Sapphire,
Topaz,
or any stone you feel suits the situation.
You can add a vase of flowers or a plant- love is represented in
roses, rosemary, basil and lavender.
(Make magic using a basil plant, then feed your love spaghetti
sauce seasoned with the leaves…<grin> )When making magic you
want to engage all your senses, so burn a candle or incense.
Love scents: Jasmine, lavender, lilac, freesia, gardenia.
Sensual scents are patchouli, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, neroli,
and rose..
My favorite
sites for scents:
Candles-
I use Yankee Candle,
or Colonial At
Home votives
and Airsworld Incense

Making Magic.
At
a peaceful moment, visualize your outcome.
Whether it be romance, communication-- see it happening in your
mind. Create success. See
it. As you focus on this, lay out your cloth.
On the cloth lay the items you’ve chosen to use for a focal
point. Take a moment to touch them, while you continue to see
success in your mind. If your talisman is a plant, breathe deeply of the
fragrance, if it’s a stone, warm it in your hands.
Light a candle or incense and breathe deeply, while creating your
goal in your mind. Then,
compose yourself and speak. Define
your goal out loud. Say as much as you
like. Take some cleansing breaths and relax in a sort of
cool-down phase, then step away.
Leave your magic stuff in the designated spot.
Take
time out of every day to revisit your goals, recreating success in your
mind. I do that at night
before I fall asleep. When you pass your designated spot, use that as a mini goal
recharging moment. Work on your
magic every day through the moon cycle, then
when the moon is full, decide how successful your magic has
been. You can return your magic talismans to use, or you can gather
up the edges of your cloth and store them away.
Good
luck and have fun!
